LAHORE, November 7th, 2015: Students from Ghani Grammar School participated in Art For Change – A National Child Art Competition organized by Discovering New Artists (DNA) and secured 3 top positions in different categories.
More than 2500 children participated in “Art for Change” from all across Pakistan, and among those, 30 were selected as winners. One of the paintings from Ghani Grammar School has also been selected to be displayed at different art exhibitions in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad.
Moreover, our charity school has been awarded with a trophy and position holders have received prize money along with participation certificates.
Qismat Ali, a 9 years old student from class one got 1st position and received a prize money of PKR 10,000. Arslan Jellani and Mehreen Yaseen got 3rd and 4th positions and received PKR 6,000 and PKR 4,000 respectively. Umme Mubeen from class one, received certificate of excellence for her outstanding art skills.
The Ghani Foundation has always given top priority to art and other co curricular activities, and we strongly believe in the logic that, art plays the role in helping children become like themselves instead of more like everyone else.
It is to be noted that Ghani Grammar School is a charity school run by The Ghani Foundation which is a non-profitable organization launched in 2011 with an aim to facilitate the poor and educate the less privileged children in Pakistan.
